Unity in the Community Initiative

CFTC serves the Wiley B. McMillin Center in Lake Charles by offering: community outreach events, education, parenting programs which feature seminars and workshops. 

Community Revitalization Collaborative

In  the 8 years of service to the McMillin Center we have identified 3 areas of concern.

       . Socio-economic 

       . Family engagement

       . Parent participation

We address these concerns through the Community Revitalization Collaborative. CFTC, along with community partners, provide programs and services to address the need of the community. Our partners include:

  5. Single Mothers of America
  6. Tender Care Counseling
  7. Brotha & Sista Mentoring
  8. Youth Empowerment Society
  9.  Shalom Christian Counseling

Transitional Housing

Due to lack of permanent housing for youth & youth in crisis, CFTC will provide therapeutic transitional housing. The home will provide the following: 

  • Mental health programs
  • Education
  • Personal Coaching
  • Job training
